About the Author

Ayshia MuezzinAyshia Müezzin a.k.a [ a y s h ] b.1986 is a British-Cypriot Intermedia artist who grew up in Cyprus where she attended high school and began her artistic career. She returned to the UK to pursue her education at The University of Edinburgh and Edinburgh College of Art. She graduated with a distinction in Intermedia art in 2018 and an MFA in Contemporary Art Practice in 2020. Ayshia was awarded the [2017] Scotrail Art & Culture Fund by ScotRail and Foundation Scotland; [2018] University of Edinburgh and EUSA Impact Awards; [2018] Travel to Italy Award from The Wilhelmina Barns-Graham Trust–awarded to show performance art in Italy during the Venice Architecture Biennale as well as the [2020] Contemporary Art Practice Award. Her projects have been featured on the BBC Timeline Series and Hyperallergic.
