DEVEN JAMES PHILBRICK is a poet, fiction writer, and scholar. His writing has appeared in Another Chicago Magazine and he has previously served as the prose editor of the Seattle Review. He is currently pursuing a PhD in English at the University of Michigan, focusing on the intersections between 20^th century poetry and philosophy. He lives in Ann Arbor, MI with his partner and their small menagerie of companion animals.
