Stephen Beachy (Prose Editor) is the author of the novels The Whistling Song, Distortion and most recently boneyard, in collaboration with Jake Yoder, a disturbed Amish boy who may not actually exist. His twin novellas, Some Phantom and No Time Flat, originally published in 2006, have just been reissued by Verse Chorus Press. His fiction has appeared in BOMB, The Chicago Review, Best Gay American Fiction, Blithe House Quarterly, SHADE, and elsewhere. His nonfiction has appeared in The New York Times Magazine, New York magazine, the anthology Love, Castro Street, and elsewhere. He is a graduate of the Iowa Writer’s Workshop and a recipient of the James Michener Award. He teaches in the University of San Francisco’s MFA in Writing program. His website is www.livingjelly.com.
