A Bangladeshi writer and translator, Shabnam Nadiya graduated from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop in 2012. Currently she is working on her collection Pye Dogs and Magic Men: Stories, as well as translating Shaheen Akhtar’s novel Beloved Rongomala. Her translation of Moinul Ahsan Saber’s novel The Mercenary was published by Bengal Lights Books (Dhaka) in 2016, the US edition by Seagull Books is forthcoming in 2017. She is co-guest editor of the South Asian Literature in Translation issue of 91st Meridian (Summer, 2016).
